The UU Community of Frankfort is a cooperative endeavor, and you can help us succeed. Find yourself among friends as you take advantage of opportunities to help with music, services, refreshments, small groups, child care and much more, according to your interests and skills.
Our members are actively involved in a range of community organizations:
A global movement campaigning to end grave abuses of human rights. UUCF sponsors an annual Write-a-Thon in defense of prisoners of conscience the week of December 10 each year.
In the midst of horror and upset, canine comfort provides wordless warmth, touching comfort, and brief respite.
A women-initiated grassroots peace and social justice movement working to end the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, stop new wars, and redirect our resources into healthcare, education, green jobs and other life-affirming activities.
A grassroots nonprofit for people to give (& get) stuff for free in and around Frankfort. It’s all about reuse and keeping good stuff out of landfills.
Building confidence, poise and grace in an atmosphere of support and comraderie.
Providing shelter and services to homeless women and children in Franklin County and surrounding communities.
A recently-restored theater, run by volunteers, serving as downtown Frankfort’s center for the arts.
A grassroots organization dedicated to legalizing Direct-Entry Midwifery to ensure that women have access to expanded midwifery options in Kentucky.
Promoting Kentucky’s organic farms and farmers through education, information sharing, and research direction.
The Frankfort Chapter is affiliated with the UNA of the USA, which builds understanding of and support for the ideals and work of the UN through education, policy and advocacy programs that emphasize the importance of cooperation among nations.
Dedicated to making the capital of Kentucky the best city in the Commonwealth for pedestrians and cyclists.
